TL;DR (Quick Summary)
- 50% deposit required before I begin work; balance due on completion.
- Work includes only the written Scope; extras require approval and a new estimate.
- Final deliverables transfer on full payment; drafts and unused concepts remain mine.
- You will get the agreed revision rounds; major changes are billed.
- Either party can terminate; deposits are non-refundable.
Scope of Work
My services (graphic design, branding, social content, and bespoke website builds—no templates) will be detailed in a written proposal or agreement (“Scope”). Work outside the Scope requires a new estimate and written approval before I start.
Payment & Deposits
- 50% deposit due to book your project and begin.
- The remaining balance is due upon delivery of final files or site handoff.
- Invoices are payable within 7 calendar days unless otherwise stated.
- Late payments may pause work and incur a late fee at a reasonable rate.
Revisions
Your estimate includes a set number of revision rounds for each phase. Major shifts in direction, added pages/sections, or new features will be quoted as additional work.
Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, you receive rights to use the final approved deliverables for the intended purpose (e.g., your brand or website). Working files, unused concepts, and drafts remain my intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Termination / Cancellation
Either party may terminate at any time. If you cancel, I will invoice for work completed up to that point. Deposits are non-refundable and applied to work already performed and scheduling.
Portfolio Rights
I may display the final project and selected process shots in my portfolio and social media unless you request confidentiality in writing before work begins.
Dispute Resolution
I will try to resolve issues informally first. If needed, disputes will be handled in the jurisdiction of California law.
Other Terms
- Client-provided content (text, images, video, logos) must be owned or properly licensed by the client.
- Timelines depend on timely feedback and approvals.
- If third-party tools are required (fonts, plug-ins, hosting), ongoing fees are the client’s responsibility unless otherwise stated.
